The rally will be held at 2 ASC, C/O Race Course Camp, Air Force Station New Delhi, and 7 ASC, No. 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru. Candidates must select two rally-venue preferences during registration, but CASB may allot a venue different from the preference. Requests for a change of rally centre, selection date or medical date will not be entertained.

The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or Class 10 certificate will be treated as the primary proof of age. Candidates outside the notified date-of-birth block are not eligible, even if their age appears close to the prescribed range on the application date. The notification does not provide a conventional category-wise age relaxation table. Therefore, candidates should follow the exact date-of-birth range instead of calculating relaxation on their own.
Selected candidates are enrolled for a four-year engagement under the Agnipath Scheme. They must undertake not to marry during the engagement period. An Agniveervayu found married, or marrying during the defined tenure, may be dismissed from service under the conditions stated in the advertisement. Female candidates must also comply with the pregnancy-related undertaking prescribed by the Indian Air Force.

The Indian Air Force has not published a numerical vacancy count for the Musician Intake 01/2027. Educational Qualification
Academic Qualification

Music Ability
The candidate must demonstrate practical musical competence, not merely possess an academic certificate. He or she should have accuracy in tempo and pitch, should be able to sing one complete song, and should be able to perform one preparatory tune. The candidate should understand and use at least one accepted notation system, such as Staff Notation, Tablature, Tonic Solfa, Hindustani notation or Carnatic notation. Where the instrument requires tuning, the candidate must be able to tune it independently and should be capable of matching unknown notes through voice or instrument.

Musical Experience Certificate
In addition to Class 10 and practical ability, candidates should possess any one of the prescribed musical experience credentials. The accepted routes include Grade 5 or an equivalent or higher grade in one instrument from a recognised music institute; a diploma or equivalent qualification in music from a recognised university for Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music; or certificates of participation and awards received in recognised events. Candidates relying on event participation or award certificates must be prepared to demonstrate the performance ability stated in the educational requirements, including staff notation for relevant blowing instruments.
Examples of music institutions mentioned in the notification include TCL, RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM, GMI and Berklee School of Music. The mention of an institution is illustrative and does not remove the candidate's responsibility to establish the authenticity and relevance of the submitted certificate.
Selection Process
The selection process is conducted through a pre-registered recruitment rally and is sequential. A candidate must qualify each applicable stage to move forward. Registration alone does not guarantee an admit card, and an admit card does not guarantee acceptance at the rally if documents or identity details are found incorrect.
- Online Registration: Candidate completes registration, uploads documents, pays the fee and receives the submitted application form.
- Provisional Admit Card: Only candidates issued a valid provisional admit card may report to the allotted rally venue.
- Initial Document And Eligibility Verification: Original or DigiLocker-verified Class 10 records, musical experience certificate, identity proof and other applicable certificates are scrutinised before the Physical Fitness Test.
- Physical Fitness Test PFT-I: Male candidates must complete the 1.6 kilometre run within 7 minutes. Female candidates must complete the run within 8 minutes.
- Physical Fitness Test PFT-II: Male candidates complete 10 push-ups in 1 minute, 10 sit-ups in 1 minute and 20 squats in 1 minute in the prescribed sequence. Female candidates complete 10 sit-ups in 1 minute 30 seconds and 15 squats in 1 minute.
- English Written Test: Candidates qualifying the physical test appear for a 30-minute objective paper containing 30 English questions based on the Matriculation or Class 10 CBSE syllabus. The paper is answered on an OMR sheet.
- Music Proficiency Test: Candidates qualifying the English paper undergo practical evaluation in playing musical instruments, individually or with a group of instruments. The test may assess pitch, tempo, notation, tuning, song performance, preparatory tune and practical command of the instrument.
- Medical Examination: Candidates qualifying the music test undergo medical examination by the Air Force medical team. The medical process is expected during September 2026 at 11 AFH Hindon and SMC, Air Force Station Jalahalli, as allotted.

Medical standards of the Armed Forces may differ from civilian medical standards. Passing the medical examination by itself does not guarantee enrolment. Salary And Pay Scale
Agniveervayu Musician is engaged under the Agnipath Scheme for four years. The customised monthly package starts at Rs. 30,000/- in the first year and rises annually. Seventy percent is paid as in-hand remuneration, while thirty percent is contributed to the Agniveer Corpus Fund. The Government of India contributes a matching amount to the corpus.

At the end of four years, the approximate Seva Nidhi package is Rs. 10.04 lakh, excluding applicable interest, comprising the candidate's contribution and matching Government contribution. Risk and hardship allowance, dress allowance, travel allowance, ration, clothing, accommodation, Leave Travel Concession, medical facilities at service hospitals and CSD provisions may be available according to the applicable rules. Agniveervayu are provided a non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakh during the engagement period.
There is no entitlement to gratuity, pensionary benefits or Ex-Servicemen status merely on completion of the four-year engagement. Up to 25 percent of a specific batch may be considered for enrolment in the regular Air Force cadre based on organisational requirements, performance and Government policy. No candidate has an automatic right to permanent retention.

Exam Pattern And Syllabus Overview
Physical Fitness Test
